It looks like Japan is part of the pig flu club. As of yesterday, there were about 200 confirmed cases in the Kobe area and 'experts' say that a spread to Tokyo is inevitable. I guess GPS tracking every ones cell phone hasn't really been that effective.
Apparently it's no worse than the people flu but it's spreading and there's no way to prevent it but to hole up at home. To that end, I've been given a week off of work.
